Theme
The 11th Annual NHS Alliance Conference will be focussing on how and why
primary care is making a difference to health, health services and health
professionals.
All over the country improvements are being made and
challenges are being met. Practice and PCT commissioning is developing
apace and providers of care are beginning to do things differently. What
are the secrets of success and what can be learnt from experiences along
the way?
The Darzi review will have enormous implications for all those working in
and with primary care and delegates will be discussing all of the issues
emerging with leading figures from the Department of Health and from the
NHS and its partners
The key questions are:
Will the Darzi recommendations be deliverable?
What difference is practice–based commissioning making and how?
Why do some projects fail while others flourish?
What are the best investments we can make to tackle health inequalities?
Is primary care properly accountable for its actions?
These and many other questions will be discussed at this, the primary care
event of the year. Leading figures from inside and outside the NHS will
pose the questions and primary care leaders will be giving their responses
and practical solutions in discussion with the audience.
Successful working at local level will feature strongly and workshops will
present the opportunity for in-depth discussion and learning from each
other.
Venue
The conference and exhibition will take place in the Bournemouth
International Centre which is a prestigious custom built conference easily
accessible by road and public transport and surrounded by excellent
accommodation and restaurants.
